NYC (Friday)

Friday I went to classes in the morning (snooze) and then we headed out with friends from our Residency in Rochester. We went to this great French Pastry place we loved from last time called Financier. It's on this cool little cobble stone street in the Financial District, and the whole street is blocked off and filled with tables.

We wandered back and saw the NYC stock exchange, the place where George Washington was inagurated as president, Ground Zero, and then did some shopping at an awesomely huge store called Century 21. It's like Nordstrom Rack, only 4 stories high. We got some nice things...for cheap. But NYC retailers are not so big on courtesy or service.

That night we went out to dinner with friends at St. Andrews and then on to Broadway to see Memphis. We didn't know anything about it, but it had really good reviews. It was really good. It was funny, had great music, great story, great set and the actors did an awesome job. Last time we saw Lion King, which was hands down the loser compared to Memphis.

After the play we went to Junior's Cheesecake and found a table right in the middle of Time's Square. We talked for way too long. These people are too easy to talk to, and we are not catching up on sleep.

It was such a fun time though. Everything worked out so well, and we were happy to be with friends.

Memphis is a good one.
I could have told you that. Why didn't you ask?
