Christmas 2012

Christmas was awesome this year! Annie's Dad made his awesome hay ride with Christmas lights and reindeer again. These pictures really don't do it justice. The kids loved it! We drove around the neighborhood caroling, and then came back to our house for cookies and hot chocolate.

Roen just ran around and around the hay bails. Cam sat still until we started driving, and then we had to wrestle with him to keep him from falling off the trailer. It was so super fun.

Halle with her cousin Olivia down from Utah for Christmas

Christmas Eve was spent and Grandma Scoresby's. All the families did a short talent, and then we played the left/game. Grandma wraps up a bunch of presents and then reads a story she wrote. Every time she says left or right you have to pass your present. You never know what you're getting! Then we came home and opened our traditional Christmas Eve Pajamas from Grandma Martinsen.

We made cookies for Santa, and put out some food for the reindeer too.

All of us in our PJ's. Maybe I'll fit in this shirt someday...but hopefully not!
Thanks Grandma Martinsen! These are always our kids favorite PJ's for the next year. I guess they try to relive the magic of Christmas Eve.

Christmas Morning Gluttony! Cam found the chocolates and was content to work diligently on making them disappear.

The boys had fun with their new light sabers.

Our big gift for the family was a piano! The kids wanted a dog, but pianos don't leave poop all over the back yard, nor require arrangements when we go out of town. Also no need to buy food, no shedding, no barking, no slobber...there really wasn't much of a competition.

When we were in Cali for Thanksgiving, Cam's cousin had her birthday and got an alphabet train that Cam loved and rode around for the entire week. So he got one for Christmas.

We ran to Grandma Scoresby's for brunch. (Omelet's, Bran Muffins, and fresh squeezed OJ....YUMM!)

Grandma got all three kids scooters.

No major head trauma... yet.
Then we ran home and tried to cram a nap in (didn't happen). Went to church for an hour (should be like that every week). Then on to Grandma and Grandpa Heaps for the yearly Mexican Fiesta. Then to Grandma Martinsen's for more presents, more food, and more fun. It was a marathon day! Luckily, Rob had the next day off work, which ended up being really nice, to just relax, play with toys, and have no where to go.

It was great! Merry Christmas!!!
