Cabin!

Summer has come to Phoenix...which means it's time to leave! We've been enjoying short little trips to the cabin in Pine. The kids totally love it, and play outside for hours and hours. It's nice to leave all the normal stuff behind and do more family things together.

We got a new game where you have to try and guess who your are. It was pretty fun!

Halle trying to guess who she is. It's actually harder than it looks!

After days of searching we found the first caterpillar. Halle carried it around for about 30 min, and then she made Mommy watch it for her.

This could be a picture of Rob at the cabin 28 years ago.

Halle playing down in the creek (holding the caterpillar, of course)

Cam cooling his toes in a pond. These kids will not keep their dang shoes on.

The kids blowing bubbles on the deck.

It was great! We saw lots of deer and four or five elk, blue jays and woodpeckers. We'll be working on a squirrel and bird feeder soon. We love getting out of the heat and just being together. It's so fun watching the kids play outside and do crafts and read books. Why is it  so much harder to get them to do that at home? We look forward to getting away a lot this summer!

That looks like so much fun and makes me excited for our reunion here! There really is nothing like getting away from regular life enjoying the great outdoors.
