WHEW!

Well, we were in Rochester for 5 whole days before making a trip to Utah for a Scoresby Family Reunion. It seemed kind of hectic at the time, but man was it timely! The terrible twos seemed to hit Halle the week we moved. It was a lot for her, packing up all her things and moving to a new place. Then we were so busy unpacking that we were asking her to entertain herself a lot. So a vacation at that time is just what we needed. We went to BYU's Aspen Grove Family Camp for our reunion. We've gone before but this is the first time we've gone with kids of our own. It is FREAKING awesome! They take your kids for all these fun activities so the adults can do fun activities. So...how early can you put your kids in preschool? I don't think Halle has had more fun in her life, playing with cousins, playing outside, getting dirty, swimming, and several trips to the ice cream store (Rob had fun with that too).

We got back last Saturday and have spent pretty much every day trying to get our house in order. Things are finally getting to a functional, livable point. The last step is the kitchen, which you would think would be one of the first steps, but it is tiny! We have one drawer! ONE DRAWER! Every time we go to unpack we open a box and stand there with something in our hands spinning in a slow circle looking around and wondering, "where the heck am I going to put this?" So we need to find some kitchen carts ASAP. That is our task today, our 1 millionth time out to the stores to get this house functional before I start on Monday.

So we're here, we're getting settled. We have great neighbors, and we are loving the cool Rochester weather. Ask me again in February how I feel about it, you may get a different response complete with expletives. But for now the temp is in the 70's, humidity is low, and there is a beautiful breeze of the lake that feels great now, but it's going to bite in the winter.

Here are some pictures of our move and our trip to Aspen Grove. For the full album click here.

i am commenting to complain about the link to pictures that doesn't seem to be working. I'd like to see the family please.

Also, i'd like to make a request/demand and that is to have Halle be wearing her hair in pig tails at all times. ALL TIMES.
