The Royal Ball

Spirits were high for one little girl around our house this week in anticipation of our first royal ball ever. A function like this really could not have come at a better time, as we have been witnessing the transformation of Halle into the most pinky-pink, "fancy" clothes wearing three year old around. Being the awesome mother that I am, I made Halle a beautiful pink tutu to wear with her pink princess hat, (major mom points). We even let her wear her princess house slippers. Man we are nice! Strong Museum held a lovely event, complete with dancing, wish making with the Fairy Godmother and an introduction to the Queen of Play. Halle really is a little sweetheart with friends. When the music began for the, dancing Halle took the hands of a few girls to form a circle, and whenever another girl would stand watching, she would open the circle to include the new girl. It was especially cute to watch her introduction to the Queen, curtsy and all. When asked if she had done any good deeds, Halle of course told her all about how nice she is to her brother and mom and dad, and her friends at Precious Kids Preschool. The queen was working very hard to stay in character, but we saw the grin and heard a definite snicker when Halle shook her hand and said "It was nice to meet you". Roen was a good little brother and just along for the ride. We did let him out of the stroller to play sometimes and he was as happy as a clam, a happy clam of course. For the rest of the day's pictures, click here

Oh, I'm so homesick for these little cuties! And, of course their parents. I loved the blog and the photos! Grandma Reta
